In 2013 I began working on small projects at The Greene Grape. What began as a few chalkboards quickly turned into a full rebrand of the food and beverage company. After studying the market and working closely with the owner, Amy Bennett, we trademarked the tagline “Made Fresh, Made Local” long before larger grocery chains had pivoted to the current food movement. In 2015, I had the privilege of joining the company full time. From shelf-talkers to recipe cards, menus, vehicle wraps, murals, websites, and entirely new business initiatives, the opportunity afforded me the time and resources to take the branding we had developed and carry it out across multiple platforms. While the company has grown its digital presence, its operations continue to be influenced by the old-world techniques upon which the concept was inspired; whole animal butchery, cut-to-order cheese, and small-batch, locally made products.
